The Frankfurt Book Fair has its 58th exhibition this year. We, Japan Publications Trading Co., Ltd., have been an exhibitor at the Fair ever since its 7th exhibition. Now, more than five whole years have passed since the 9/11terrorism. Back then, the tragedy seriously affected the Book Fair as well and exhibitors from Japan drastically declined in number. Even then, we continued to exhibit, with the strong sense of mission that we are here to communicate and spread Japan’s culture to the whole world.

This year again, we exhibit at the Book Fair in collaboration with Ondori-sha (http://www.ondori.co.jp/), one of the largest Japanese publishers specializing in handicraft.
Our exhibits are English language books we have published to communicate and spread a broad range of Japan’s culture, from origami and Japanese cuisines to beadwork, which is a hot trend today, other kinds of handicraft, “manga” comics, and many more. Of course, our effort to spread things Japanese to the world over does not stop there. We will take advantage of everything we have published in our many years of history, including books on Japanese language education, books written in Japanese, and many more. We are determined to be a distributor that communicates Japan to the rest of the world.
