Summary:
The San Francisco International Gift Fair on four days beginning on August 5th. JP Trading exhibited at the summer show for the fourth time. Compared with what we did at the summer show of 2005, the total amount of the orders we collected at the show this year jumped up by 32%, a great achievement. Many buyers appreciated those new products we discovered at the ISOT held in Tokyo this July, namely, Midori’s magnets, paper clips, new series of notebooks, and stickers, Kokusai Display Kogyo’s “Solar Toys,” Fukui Asahido’s Christmas cards, etc. Before the Christmas sales, buyers have to find and purchase some good new products. We successfully introduced new products from Japan into the U.S. market before others did. And we remodeled our exhibition booth at the last show to display new products on the front of the booth, and this remodeling proved effective. These two factors resulted in our success this year. In addition to orders from our existing major customers, we also won 21 orders from new ones. Though the number of customers visiting our booth remained almost the same from last year, the average amount per order grew larger. And looking into those orders we collected, we see new products having a larger share in the total amount, than they did last year. This was one remarkable phenomenon. At the same time, the sales of our regular products too expanded, with many buyers taking their time to place an order for greeting cards and other seasonal items. In the future, we are determined to continue to search for more good new products and create more distinctive ways of booth display, in our preparation for the next show. In addition, we will try to work more closely with our suppliers and offer more attractive products in more persuasive ways to customers.
