On August 5th and 6th, 2006, at Columbia University, USA, more than 560 people involved in Japanese language education participated in the 2006 International Conference on Japanese Language Education. Those participants included, among others, representatives from associations of Japanese language teachers of all the major regions of the world.
At the site of the conference, our US subsidiary, JP Trading, exhibited and sold books on Japanese language education and were visited by many teachers of the language. Many of them appreciated the great and complete variety of books the subsidiary carried.

In the rest of this year, we plan to exhibit at the events listed below of Japanese language education held outside Japan:
September 8th and 9th: The 9th Conference of the British Association for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language (at the University of London)
September 14th through 16th: The 11th Symposium on Japanese Language Education in Europe (at the University of Vienna, Austria)
November 17th through 19th: The 40th Annual Meeting & Exposition of the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) (in Nashville, Tennessee)
